Every era, every hero, every battle -- documented in the historical record. This is the reference companion to Sakartvelo Defenders.
Sakartvelo Defenders spans from the legendary kingdom of Colchis to modern democratic Georgia. Each era introduces new gameplay mechanics, towers, enemies, and heroes.
The legendary kingdom of the Golden Fleece. The Medea statue in Batumi overlooks the Black Sea coast. Explore the archaeological site of Vani, gold-panning with sheep fleeces, and battle devi -- many-headed ogres from Georgian myth. Dense Colchian forests, river deltas, and Black Sea coastal fortifications.
Tutorial era. Simple tower placement, basic resource management, introduction to hero abilities. No synergy mechanics yet.
The ancient Georgian kingdom east of the Surami Mountains. Pharnavaz I establishes the Iberian kingdom after Alexander the Great's campaigns. St. Nino brings Christianity to Georgia in 327 AD, transforming the kingdom's identity and alliances.

The medieval crucible. First Arab capture of Tbilisi (~645 AD), formal Emirate established 736 CE. Didi Turkoba (Great Turkish Onslaught) devastates the countryside. Bagrat III the Unifier crowns a unified Georgian kingdom in 1008. Mountain fortresses hold the line against Arab and Seljuk forces while the lowlands burn.
Siege Tower introduced (heavy damage vs. armored targets). Siege units introduced (battering rams attack towers directly). First armor-resistance mechanics. Synergy: Siege + Cavalry = +20% Armor Shred.
The zenith of Georgian power and culture. David IV's military reforms and Queen Tamar's diplomatic genius create an empire stretching from the Black Sea to the Caspian. Zakare Zakarian leads the armies that liberate Ani. Tamar's two marriages -- Yuri Bogolyubsky then David Soslan -- shape the dynasty. The Empire of Trebizond becomes a Georgian client state. Cathedrals, poetry, and battlefield engineering flourish.

Church Shrine Tower introduced (crowd control, buffs, debuffs). Full synergy system active. Elevation mechanic introduced. Multiple synergy combos: Church Shrine+Wall, Church Shrine+Archer, Catapult+Archer.
The empire collapses under the Mongol onslaught. Jalal ad-Din Mingburnu devastates Georgia before the Mongols themselves arrive. The kingdom fragments into smaller principalities, holding on in mountain fortresses while the lowlands are occupied.
Mastery scroll system introduced (permanent NFT upgrades). Surviving the wave is harder -- enemies are faster and hit harder. Mountain fortress maps with elevation advantages.
Caught between the Ottoman and Persian empires, Georgian kings play diplomacy against occupation. King Erekle II briefly achieves independence for Kartli-Kakheti before Russia absorbs Georgia entirely.
King Erekle II (Era 5) -- Enemy damage reduction and emergency resource generation.
Gunpowder Tower introduced (long-range piercing projectiles). Tower upgrades begin costing SAKART (in addition to gold). Diplomatic/damage-reduction enemy mechanics.

Industrial Tower introduced (rapid-fire multi-target suppression). Bunker-like defensive structures. Modernized infantry enemies.

Noe Jordania (Era 7) -- Global tower strength boost and emergency resource generation.
Shortest era (only 10 levels). Rapid escalation of Soviet vs. Georgian forces. Introduction of early automatic weapons.

Bunker Tower introduced (extreme armor and survivability). Survival mode mechanics introduced. Soviet military tech vs. Georgian resistance.
Independent democratic Georgia rebuilds while facing separatist conflicts and Russian pressure. The 2008 war demonstrates modern drone warfare. Georgia today is a European-style democracy with NATO and EU aspirations.
